New mindset.

My husband is not what anyone would call a world traveler.  By ANY stretch of anyone's imagination.

In fact, if you stretch that imagination to the limit, he barely survived China.  His idea of a vacation is the Watchung Mountains.  They are 10 minutes from our house.  This way we could come home to sleep, and the drive is just the right amount of time.

We can't even move out of Jersey because the newness of anything is not his cup of tea.

Which is one of the reasons, when we found out that we were not going to have to travel to Africa to get our daughter, it made him super happy.  He is more then willing to pay a chaperone to bring her to us.

This morning, I got the email.

The law changed.
At least one of us has to go to DRCongo.

Other then the extra financial hardship, I am good to go.  He is not.

I told him I could go by myself.  Or take a friend.

We will see.

Until then, Beautiful Jesus, keep our daughter safe until I get there.

Oh, that really stinks! Although...going to Africa sounds pretty darn cool to me.

On the other hand, I'm pretty squirmish about traveling outside the metro area too.

So, find an adventurous friend and you'll be set to go!

Any idea on WHEN you will go?? I'm getting super excited for you!

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog! I am enjoying yours as well! Adoption is one of those things very close to my heart... God bless your home and love as you give it to your beautiful kids!

I hate that for y'all. But...just a bigger way for God to show His provision. Will be praying for all the money to come together & for your travel plans.

ugg....ok well I was wondering how I could pray about your family...now I know.
If God is for us who can be against us right? With God all things are possible.
