Daisypath Anniversary tickers

I have got to get this child started on his Latin.

I feel so behind the 8 ball on this. I was suppose to start this year.

Oh well.

I was reminded yesterday how I haven't EVEN ORDERED THE BOOK YET!!! Yes, its true. I haven't even ordered the book. I think I will order it next week. It is one of those if-its-not-here-I-can't-be-blamed-for-not-doing-it deals.

Ewwww. Thats a bad deal.

Anyway, on a different note, for the first time since last year,(fall) Samuel is playing outside!! He is so happy to be out of bondage. AKA indoors. Its still a bit nippy, but with enough running around and a few layers on, he is good to go. I let him go out between school subjects for a break. I can't wait for the time its actually warm enough for me to go outside.

Those times are hard, too, because the minute I go outside and feel the fresh air, I want to get thing in the ground. My hands itch to get into the dirt. I am no real gardener, but I try, and I love to see the flowers light up my home.

Until then Its indoors for me. :(

But HOPE is a coming. And bringing Spring with it.

134 Blinks

Yesterday, Josiah, Chloe, Samuel & I spent some time with the caterer.

One forgets the wonderful things that can be done with food. We went to talk logistics, and for a tasting. Needless to say, the tasting was the much funner part.

As of today, there are a mere 134 days until the Fourth of July.

134 more days to get all the wedding ducks in a row.

134 more days to find a dress for myself that I love. ( I have one, as a back up. But I don't love it)

134 more days to lose some more weight.

134 more days to let my hair grow. And get the nerve to *color* it for the first time.

134 more days to get a new son, who has become a delight to us.

134 more days before Samuel becomes an only child (at home). Temporarily, Lord willing.

134 more days of " MOM!!! I need help."

134 more days of Scripture digging with her, for the moment and the future.

134 more days of baseball talks.

134 more days of that smile that is looking for a favor.

134 more days of seeing her calm face sleeping.

134 more days to see her flurry-self coming down the stairs in a whirlwind, ready for life.

134 days to impart that last minute marriage wisdom before she leaves.

134 more days to feed her, love on her, learn to let her go. Completely.

And now that I got myself crying again. I'm going to go, too.

WKC

I love dogs.

Most of our friends have a dog. Well, thats not true. Most of our friends DON'T have dogs, but the ones who do, just have 1. We have 3, and I love it.

Samuel was rushing like mad tonight, trying to finish his school work ( yes he procrastinated and it went late into the evening) so that we could go down and watch the Westminster Dog Show's Best in Show winner.

And here is what a Sussex Spaniel looks like:

What a great looking dog. We were pleased with the selection. I was hoping for the Giant Schnauzer, and Samuel wanted the Scottish Terrier, but the winner was an acceptable choice.

Where as the poodle...not so much. I think we would have both groaned LOUDLY if the poodle won.

For all you poodle owners out there. I'm sorry.

I grew up with a poodle, it was my sister's, so its not like I just make a random judgement call. Yes Barnabus (Barney) was a piece of work. And no, I would never get one. At the same time, I had a yellow lab,Trotsky. (Don't ask. At the time I had just heard the name and loved it, later I found out the history, and was so embarrassed. I was a kid. Who knew?)

And so, if you watched the show, it was exciting, in spite of the fact that neither a beagle or a St. Bernard won, but exciting non the less.

Week

wOw!! What a week!!

FIRST!! STEELERS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!

As you already know..it was a FANTASTIC Super Bowl. I can't even imagine. As awesome as last year's was, this one was even awesomer. I know, bad English. Still..

Then from that great day, I proceeded to get myself as sick as possible. I was in bed with a fever for days. My throat burned and my joints were screaming. Silently.

Okay, let me side step here because I have a small pet peeve. Here is my question. Some people I know and love, knew how sick I was and how painful it was to speak. Why, pray tell, did they insist on calling ALL THE TIME , several times a day???? Even when I didn't answer anymore because it was bad and I was exhausted. They would insist on calling and calling and letting the phone ring. WHY?? Didn't they get the 3000 clues?? I know they care, but maybe doing something is kind of better then that. Or in this case, doing nothing would have been appreciated oh so much more. Okay, I am a jerk.

I'm sorry.

Back to being sick. Now I squeak. My throat doesn't hurt anymore, but I sound like I am in pain. (I'm not) And I am getting my strength back, little by little.

Chloe started her new job this week. She is a dance teacher at Life Time gym. John went to their open house and was amazed. It is WAY out of our price range, though. We will probaly stick to walking on our treadmill & outside.

Here is a funny picture I just downloaded from my camera. It was when Chloe was trying on wedding dresses. I think this pictures enbodies my daughter. Life is good.

This morning I made myself crawl out of bed and go to church. It was my first outing, and I am so glad I did. It was GREAT. Tomorrow starts life back to normal. I will stop by Hoop's apartment and get some pictures. He is liking the move. As I knew he would. :)
