Life, it is still beautiful.

2 months ago yesterday, I talked about him, and how he will be missed. He is.

This morning, at 4:46, his wife passed away.

She was my mother's best friend. My mom held her hand as she took her last breath. She promised Mrs. G that she would.

And she did.

It is so sad. It is so hard.

They have been a part of all our lives.

So many memories. Like the time my daughter was 3 and we went to a 4th of July party at their house. Mrs G and my mom were talking together and we were still pretty far from them, then my mom went someplace else. Chloe was still in the process of running up to her Nana and mistook Mrs G for her, up until the last second. Yes they even started to look alike.

They have been closer then sisters for 40 years. They have had their fights, they have had their laughter, they have had their joys, triumphs and hopes together. They were family when family failed them.

My mom will suffer the most.

And I hurt for her, for I know how hard it will be.

Life is beautiful.

So hold on to your family. Hold on to your dear friends.

And cling to GOD, HIMSELF, for in HIM there is life.

Oh, Maddie. I am again so sorry for your loss. But ... I am so delighted that after all their years together, this husband and wife spent only a few months apart.

(I just wanted to let you know that it's too funny that David Wright is who I was talking about! We were friends in High School and I actually didn't even know he was that good at baseball til he graduated and got drafted! haha I told Chloe and she was very excited!)
