Samuel has been the sickest. We all got sick, but he had the knock-out, drag-out, can I just please die, but not die, 104.3 down to 101 with Tylenol, throw up, I can't walk flu.
Right before Christmas.
Not that he did that on purpose. Or he likes being sick, or he thought it might be funny.
It just happened that way.
And so we all were in the process of getting better and now we (okay it is only me, but I feel better thinking I am not the only one) are in panic mode.
I mean PANIC MODE.
Because I lost 10+ days of shopping. Not that I am complaining taking care of the family. But it is CHRISTMAS season.
Elly's first Christmas. I will post pictures soon. She thinks it is a wonderful idea! And she probably thinks China should get into the action, too. She loves church and when she is pensive and you ask her what she is thinking about she will usually say "Jesus."
I love that.
I don't know just how much she gets, but I know how much she receives.
I made John take her out the other night to show her the lights in the neighborhood. Poor kid, she got stuck being stuck as she was the only one not sick.
Okay, so now that I just announce we are in panic mode, I should get some school work done, then go out and try to settle that down a little.
But I leave you with this picture and this song.
This is us being SO HAPPY that we were in China last year. FINALLY!!! We left New Years Eve, celebrated midnight in the North Pole, and were in Beijing New Years Day.
2 Days from getting our baby girl.
This song made me cry ALL THE TIME last year.
And now...
It is Christmas time as she is home.
She is home!!!
Now this song still makes me cry, and pray for those waiting for their babies.
I have those families in my heart today. Waiting...
Waiting...
As we are waiting. Again.

I am so glad that your girl is home with you and you will be celebrating her one year homecoming very soon. And I am sorry that you have all been so sick. You need to go to Amazon.com, register for their premier account (2 day free shipping) and start clicking away. You can just about get it all through them and not leave your house. And then you just need to wait till the UPS guy shows up and open the door. Go for it!!
Hope you all feel better soon! :(
I love the song you posted. We sing it every Christmas waiting for our children to come home. We thought back to when the last Christmas was that we were not waiting for a child to come home - it was December 2005. Except that was the Christmas that we were beginning to feel God's leading to our second child so I guess we were waiting that Christmas, too!
To think that you were in China last year just a few weeks ahead of us! That is wonderful to know! So many of my bloggy friends adopted from China within the last year. Just think of the times one of us probably passed by or narrowly missed seeing each other on our adoption journeys last year. God is good to bring us all together on our websites.
Praying for you all to get healthy quick and begin to enjoy Christmas.

LOVE that last pic of your girly! Wow, could her smile get any bigger? What a blessing she is to your family!
SO sorry you've been sick. I hope you are all up and running by now and feel back to normal. And that you have your shopping done. I hate that panic-mode place!
Thanks so much for your recent comments on my blog. I look forward to reading more about your family.
You should check out my Takin Care of Mama Challenge in the archives on my sidebar.
Also ... we have not 1, but 2 weddings next July ... which makes 3 family weddings in 8 months. I also have 2 more young adults that will probably be married in the next year (just not engaged yet), which would make 5 weddings in 1 year. Crazy, huh? That's what I get for having 5 babies in 4 years. :)
